Poetry Analysis
For my poetry analysis, I analyzed two incredible and outstanding pieces of poetry. The first one is If You Forget Me by Pablo Neruda:
If you Forget ME
After reading the poem "If You Forget Me " by Pablo Neruda, I have come to a conclusion base on my Analysis. The poem is about the author, who wants his beloved to understand that to him everything around him, makes the author think about her. I came to this stablishes conclusion because he says on line 11, "Everything carries me to you". But he also that if she forgets him, if she leaves him, he would forget her also. i think this because he expressed in lines 20 to line 24, "If suddenly you forget me do not look for me, for i shall already have forgotten you". on the last stanza says that if she thinks they are ment to be , she would stay with him.
He uses imagery when he says on line 5, " If I touch near the fire, the impalpable ash, or the wrinkled body of the log". He uses this poetic device to make the reader feel or look at what he is comparing with what he feels for his beloved. He uses metaphor to make the reader picture how he feels about her leaving him. As we can see on line 26 to 31, "the wind of banners that passes through my life and you decide to leave ma at the shore of the heart where I have roots".
He uses alliteration, like "little, Little, Loving" to create a rhythm to the poem. He uses this poetic devices to make the reader think about what the author is trying to say.
The Second and very remarkable piece of poetry is Life in A Love by Robert Browning:
Life In A Love
Life in A Love by Robert Browning is about the chaos that love can cause. I said this because the whole poem talks about 2 different characters in a love relationship. There the one that eludes and the one that pursues. Love causes many co plications when feelings are not correspond. the author uses alliteration and rhyme to create a rhythm to the poem and to help the reader understand
